More marauder/barbarians with spears. This update has the champion and the musician and a couple more bros.

I followed the mix of skin colour I tried in the previous post that I think breaks up a large horde unit.
Crappy pictures, links, reviews and random musings from my world of miniature wargaming
More marauder/barbarians with spears. This update has the champion and the musician and a couple more bros.

I decided to mix up the skin tones of the next batch of marauders/barbarians.
I used a couple of different shades of GW paints and am pretty happy with the result.
The thought behind the mix is my chaos warriors of the dark gods attract the biggest and baddest hombres from the old world/ the 9th Age who travel north in search of infamy.
I need to hit them with some dull coat due to the gloss and ash and then they will be ready for the battlefield.
My next unit is up to 40 odd marauders/ barbarians with spears.
I have run out of those great old round shields so most be without them until the raiding party returns with some loot.
Painting followed the same method as my khorne/ wrath dudes: https://ironhaiden666.blogspot.com/2020/05/first-group-of-painted-wrathkhorne.html
To match my others of this particular persuasion, these dudes are always rocking some serious blonde locks.
Some photos from an intro game using my first warriors of the dark gods vs orcs and goblins.
Another three chosen knights/ skull crushers finished.
These dudes are conversions of the plastic chaos knights including an axe/mace combination that I think looks suitable for a chosen follower of wrath/khorne.
The juggernauts are the old metal GW version that came with bloodletter riders who have made their way into my lead/plastic pile of shame.
Usual crappy iPhone pics below.
After a recent bring and swap I finally got some old GW metal chaos hounds to use as warhounds in the 9th Age.
