Iron Sultanate vs Eire Rangers

 Great game with the rangers taking the win but man of the match was the assassin who grenaded a berserker and then stabbed a warrior priest to take them out.

He was later taken out by the sniper priest. 

The Irish successfully held more objectives but the Iron bros did get one glory deed with a double charge by the assassin. 

Awesome game with some amazing terrain.

Iron Sultanate characters and Brazen Bull

 The final chapter in creating my Iron Sultanate for Trench Crusade is finished with these characters and the mighty Brazen Bull.

Leading from the front is the Yubazi Captain. Painting followed the previous bros with a bit more silver and gold/ bronze befitting of his status.

Next up and throwing some fire is the Jabirean Alchemist. I purposely painted her ornate armour more gold/ bronze rather than silver as in my mind she has more access to such precious metal.

Rounding out the characters is the Assassin. Great mini and I look forward to seeing him on the battlefield.

The mini that made my choice of warband is this mighty Brazen Bull. I painted the skin to match the Lions of Jabar from my previous post.

I painted the feed tubes of his cannon in somewhat bright colours to contrast with the muddy bases and other darker colours.

I am very happy with my decision to paint my warband with the purple and black of the cloth/ skin with the silver and gold of the armour.  Now it’s time to go over the top!

Lions of Jabir and Janissaries

 The Iron Sultanate gets further strengthened by the addition of some Lions of Jabir and Janisarries.

 

Painting these bros followed my paint scheme in my previous post with some extra gold on these minis befitting of their status.

The lions are great minis and I added in some barbed wire and various planks, rocks and uprights over their bases.

Next up are the characters and Brazen Bull.

Iron Sultanate Sapper and Azebs

I backed the Trench Crusade kickstarter earlier this year so was super excited when my minis and the terrain turned up recently.

First on the painting table is the Sultanate of the Iron Wall Sapper and Azebs.

The minis are great and given their location in the trench crusade lore I copied my purple,black and gold colour scheme of my Chaos Dwarfs.

All the minis were primed with a black undercoat with a grey followed by white drybrush.

The Sapper has a little more amour than the Azebs which were painted with the following.

The gold on each of the minis used the following.

Purple trim and material was painted with the following.

The black material and flag used the following.

The basing was built up with cut down and scored pop sticks for the duck boards and rocks from cork. The colours used for painting were as follows. I used a little grey on the wood to give off an aged look.

These are great minis and more updates will be posted shortly as I build up the warband.
