This is part two of my growing unit of Hobgoblin Kamandarans. The weapons come from mantic as detailed in Part 1 and from Lost Kingdom minis.
The Lost Kingdom guns are a mix of flintlock style and more traditional rifle or blunberbuss.
I will be able to rotate the minis in the unit to better represent if I use either option so my opponent is clear what they are fighting.
Although he was destined for the age that shall not be named, the Shar’tor miniature from Forge World had to be brought into the 9th Age.
Thanks to my handy dremel the oval base was cut back to fit on a rectangle base. Shar’tor will be used as a Taurukh Commissioner in his first outing this week.
As usual I expect him to be targeted early as we all know that he who is painted best and most recent, dies first.

These are some great designs and will fit in nicely with my classic GW hobgoblins.

With the imminent release of the Hobgoblin auxiliary book for the 9th Age it was time to leave the Warriors of the Dark Gods and focus on the most treacherous of the greenskins.
Thanks to the ammertime podcast we have a couple of sneak peaks.
One of these is the hobgoblin Kamandarans.
They come with the finest infernal armour and have the option to take the mighty blunberbuss or flintlock axe.
With no miniature options available my existing hobgoblins would need take a visit to the conversion doctor.
These are the blood bowl hobgoblins who with their armour look the part with the addition of the mantic abyssal dwarf rifles.
Game wise these can sub in as being armed with either the blunderbuss or flintlock axe. These are the first of 20 that I will be converting.
The left hand was replaced with a fairly generic runic axe removed from one of those plastic slayers who came with the battle for skull pass version of warhammer.
The face had some horns added with a bigger nose and curly beard sculpted with green stuff. The mowhawk was also removed as this is a little too slayerish for my liking.
The paint scheme followed my previous Disciples of Lugar. I have a couple of games coming where I will try this dude out.

Despite losing my choppy Chosen Lord on his dragon the chaos knights took out the left flank whilst my centre and right flank routed the beasts.
Great game for the Warriors.
This is a repaint of a Chaos/Chosen Lord on chariot I ended up with after a couple of swaps.
The Lord himself is one of my favourite miniatures. It’s a classic GW sculpt of one serious bad ass with a big F’n axe in one hand and the other hand squeezing the life out of a wood/sylvan elf.
I think the chariot is a mix of chaos and dark elf parts with the lady from a dark elder kit (I think). Almost all of the mini is metal reflecting the age of plastic we are in now.
I have a few 9th Age games coming up where I will give him a run.
I am not sure of the origin of the lance/ great weapons as I got them as part of a trade but they look suitably wicked for these dudes.
Finally, here is all eight knights on their path to damnation.
