Ravenwing Suppressors

Another unit finished for my slowly growing Ravenwing force with these Suppressors.

Painting followed my drybrush and black speed paint with my approach to the infiltrators and suppressor test post.

The sarge got some bolt gun silver on his shoulder pads but apart from that the approach to achieve a suitable black power armour seems to be working.  A Vallejo matte version varnish spray is applied to tone down any excess shine from the various paints used.

Here is the three man unit finished up.

Although I have never used them in a game the rule of cool will see them take to the battlefield in my next 40K game.

Nords Vargyr Lord and Ugrs

 Next up for my Nords is a Vargyr Lord and a unit of Ugrs.

Painting used my usual black undercoat and various dry brushes of grey and white.

All the remainder colours were achieved with contrast/ speed paints and lighter highlights.

The Lord has a slightly darker cloak than the others in the army as his skin has a light blue colour. 

The Ugr skin was achieved by a gw blue wash and various highlights.

I was impressed by both the Lord and the Ugrs in their first outing so they will be a regular feature in future games.
